I specialize in finding those "smiles" -the real, candid moments that happen when you are having fun. Pairing them with the "poses" that make a portrait seem cinematic. From greenery of a local park the energy of a senior session, I'm dedicated to giving you a gallery that feels both personal and professional.

I truly believe that the best photos happen when you are actually having a really good time. My approach, Smiles & Poses, is designed as to take the pressure off. I do not just point a camera and shot and hope for the best; I guide you through a professional, flattering poses while keeping the atmosphere light and upbeat. Whether we are in a fast-paced environment or a quiet nature setting. I am constantly anticipating the shot and adapting to the moment. You get that high-end, cinematic 'poses' you want, the genuine 'smiles' that come from a relaxed, fun session.

My Wardwell Photography actually started as JW Photography that name was the OG start of my journey. In my high school journey to me it was trying out random paths like nature photographs, a little bit portrait here and there. It didn't became popular until I changed it to as Wardwell Photography this time was the kick starter of what my vision holds.

Portraits was something I had in the back of my head never really followed through until my good professor from LCC (Lansing Community College) told me to give it a shot and he just got this vision of me wanting to do senior sessions. So I did just that giving it a shot. As it turns out I took what he said and began my journey here.

I am endlessly inspired by creating stories and rhetoric concept of a story. The raw energy found. Usually you find me watching rewatch shows like Once Upon a Time a gift of storytelling telling a raw story of fairy tales trapped in our world for 28 years not remembering who they are under a curse. Or following the latest trends, diving into building concept and a plan of blocks styles in Minecraft. I love seeing a vision before it happens and working on building this conceptual ideas around it. This whole idea of outside the box thinking skills is what makes my whole narrative a whole. It's what's makes my creative eye sharp helps me bring this to the table at every session I shoot and do.

I use Canon EOS 80D, alongside my other lenses so I never miss shoot. Don't forget the lighting because having good lighting is always MUST.
